Here are some great photos of the book launch event taken by Olivia Roudon. Once again, thanks to all who attended! The turnout was amazing, and it included many very generous people. Seventeen people participated in the buy-one-give-one program to donate books to local schools. We also had representatives from many of the island’s best environmental, educational and volunteer groups, including: Nature Foundation St. Maarten, Environmental Protection in the Caribbean, SIMARC, the St. Maarten Heritage Foundation, Pride Foundation, St. Martin Trails and the Rotary Club of St. Maarten. Patricia Philip-Lourens, the Minister of Education, Culture, Youth and Sports Affairs was also in attendance. It was also great to hear the cheers from folks from the North side of the island when we announced the upcoming French-language version of the book.
Special thanks go out to everyone who helped put on the event: Jenn, Stephen, Olivia, Tadzio, Laurel and Simon. And, of course, a huge thank you to Morenika Arrindell and the Jubilee Library for hosting the event!
