Torrid Jewel Bug and Upgraded Rewards on Kickstarter

Many insects don’t take care of their young. Butterflies will lay eggs on the type of plant their caterpillars eat, but other than that, the caterpillars are on their own. The torrid jewel bug actually does provide parental support, by protecting first the eggs, and then the young nymphs, as you can see here.

Speaking of support, I want to thank recent project backers Monica Ferrell and Savanna Redman. I also have an important announcement: rewards going out to both new and previous backers are getting an upgrade! I am able to do this because the project has had so many wonderful and generous backers.

To find out about the upgrades, and to back the project if you haven’t already, visit the project page at Kickstarter. By participating, you help finance the printing of the new, improved 2nd edition of the wildlife guide, and get great rewards.

Just so you know, the rewards section on the Kickstarter page cannot be edited once the rewards have backers, so the extras are listed in the main part of the page under “Reward Upgrades.” And, of course, backers still get the rewards as listed in the rewards section, but you also get the extra stuff.
