An EPIC Partnership

Environmental Protection in the Caribbean (EPIC) has been doing conservation work and biological research on St. Martin for over ten years, including some of the longest-running bird studies in the Caribbean.

EPIC’s U.S. non-profit has also partnered with me to accept contributions towards my program to get my wildlife book in schools, libraries and other public institutions, and to do a series of presentations and other events for students and the general public. For U.S. donors, you can support this project with a tax-deductible donation to EPIC. Aside from actual transaction costs, like credit card processing fees, EPIC is passing through all the donations to the project. They are donating the time and effort to process and track the donations, and the money can go directly towards book purchases and presentation expenses.

To make a donation to this project via EPIC U.S., you can donate via their website or mail in a check. All the info is here: http://www.epicislands.org/support To ensure that they recognize your donation is for the book program, please use SXM Wildlife Book Program as the project you want to donate to.

Below is a photo of me with an American redstart. These small songbirds fly down from North America each winter to live in the forests of St. Martin. For over 10 years, EPIC has been banding both local birds and migrants to get a better understanding of their population, health and habits.
